WomenThinkCode= is an initiative that aims to increase the representation of women in technology. We’re recruiting, training and placing more women into permanent employment in the software development sector. Our goal is to have 50 % gender parity in our programme by 2023.
We are committed to recruiting talented young women into the technology sector. Previously looked at as a profession for men, we are smashing the glass ceiling and making sure women with the aptitude to code take their seat at the table.
We are shifting the narrative and making sure that young women understand they have the logic and problem solving abilities that can drive them to successful and rewarding careers as software developers. Our two year curriculum is designed to train people with no prior software development skills to become full stack developers.
Train & Mentor
Breaking new ground can be daunting which is why we provide a network of support for the women of WeThinkCode_. We do this by creating allied support on campus and in industry.
Monthly industry expert talks expose our students to female role models that are making waves in the tech sector and one-on-one mentorship from practicing software developers provides tailored support for each second year student. Succeeding in the workplace requires more than just the technical skills. At WeThinkCode_ we provide a holistic solution to equip our graduates with the technical and core skills required to thrive in a digital world.
Path to employment
We partner with corporate sponsors to ensure the women in our programme have access to work placement opportunities upon graduation. We aim to secure partnerships where our women are supported and encouraged to deliver their best. Our cutting-edge curriculum provides our graduates with critical skills that allow them to thrive in the workplace.
